Y! Chat Yahoo Chat Room for iPhone

Yahoo room chat on iPhone/ iPad /iPod Touch (by sowa)
This is an iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) application, which allows you to enter Yahoo chat rooms .
Currently the application is in form of .ipa file, so only jailbroken iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch can install it.
Installation
1. Your device must have "AppSync" installed before installing any .ipa file
You can install it in Cydia, search for "AppSync" and install with version of your iOS
2. Download the Y!Room application from this site
If after downloading, the file has .zip extension, just change it to .ipa extension
3. Drag downloaded .ipa file into iTunes
4. In iTunes, sync the new application with your device

+ Add client info to room text (other clients can see that you are using Y!Room)
+ Add booting feature: This will only work with Y!M users. Menu appears when you tap on room contact, contact list, it also allows you to boot whole room
+ Localized room: You can now join to various localized rooms like China, Vietnam, HongKong etc: You can switch to "Rooms" --> Next --> Localized room list --> Refresh room list
+ Default font size in Settings is now 10 instead of 12 as before
+ Add icons in lists for eye-catching
+ Update room smiley filter to be able to parse more smilies
+ Room list now shows the number of user currently in room too
+ Two new settings: Sound ON/OFF + Statusbar ON/OFF
+ Add sound effects for incoming PM event, User Online/Offline event
*Coming: iPad compatible (now working with iPad but there are some problems with the display)
Limitations
- Does not support voice chat & Webcam
Tips & Tricks
In order to keep your ID connected, I prefer the followings:
- Disable "Auto lock" in Settings, since once your device is in locked sate, all network connections will be terminated (just for iOS 3.x and below).
- With iOS 4.x and above, since Y!Room ver 1.8 it's now much easier! Just turn on multitasking, that's all. Connection will NOT be closed even device is locked, and just enjoy the application as you are on PC!
